The Fair of the Pratu pass (or «Fiera di Bocca di u Pratu» in Corsican) is the main traditional fair of breeders of the island, taking place in Castagniccia. Enjoy many debates and contests (bulls and cows, Corsican breed of rams, goats, horses…), a big running race (Bocca di Pratu – San Petrone return trip, 9km on vertical drop of 780m), but also games and entertainment for children and adults too. This is also the opportunity to taste many Corsican specialties and purchase products of local gastronomy and crafts (cheese, honey, pastries, knives, jewelry …), but also to immerse yourself in the culture of Corsica by participating at Corsican songs nights or attend the sung Mass of San Petru Accia, or by going to the inevitable boules contest!
