A Vulpaiola

Vulpaiola is composed of many hamlets perched on a crest at an average height of 370 metres, and is crossed by several waterways. The old houses and their high facades and flagstones roofs stuck next to each other along the mountain ridge give this typical village all its charm. An hiking trail allows you to reach Barchetta from Volpajola, on the left bank of the Golu. Barchetta is an old manufacturing centre specialised in tannin extracts of chestnut wood, then in paquet floor until the '60s. En 1999, further to a fire, the old gallic factory is destroyed and turn into a glass recycling centre. The site is now disused.
