«A Stazzona», which means the forge in Corsican, was once known as the village of blacksmiths. The village was the island's largest production place of weapons and kinfes during Pasquale Paoli time. Nearby Orezza spring, Stazzona welcomed several therapy clients in the 19^th century. Some big manor houses still remain, they're used to be hotels, restaurants and herbalist's shopes during this balneology era.
