San Damianu, built on a rocky peak in the Ampugnani area, is made up of the hamlets of Monte d'Olmu, Alzi and Bonifaziu. Architecture and built heritage are typical of Castagniccia: chestnut dryers and «fucone», the main area of Corsican houses which were used to cook food.
