Rapaghju


Rapaghju is an ancient medieval village, as evidenced by the architecture of the manor houses built between the 16th and the 19th centuries, just as its church and its bell-tower in exposed stones. The village is also known for its natural spring water exploited since the Antiquity: Orezza water.

To discover
- Assunta church and its bell-tower at 5 levels crowned by a dome, dating from the 17th century.
- The castle of Granajola, its private funerary chapel and its gardens, a remarkable domain now in poor condition. In the 19th centuty, this grand property has been used as an hotel for therapy clients of Orezza thermal baths.
- Orezza water spring: naturally sparkling and rich in iron, those waters are recognized as promoting the public interest since the 20th century, for its remarkably high content of iron which could cure various illnesses.
