U Pe' d'Orezza


Situated in a lush nature at 1400m above sea level, the municipality extends to the crests of Bocca Favalata and Bocca Al Pratu. The hamlet of Campodonico, built on a cliff over a ravine, is the highest inhabited village of Castagniccia and offers a stunning point of vieww. Pe'd'Orezza is known for its stone and slate quarry, its numerous footpaths (San Petrone, Caldane, Mare a Mare Nord), and its rich history which has left an exceptional built heritage.

- Remains of a baptistery dating from the 5th century and dedicated to San Leonardo.
- Ruins of a small fort «U Castellucciu», constructed in the 15th century by Vincentello d'Istria the viceroy of Corsica.
