Nuvale is a charming village from where we can make out the sea to the east and the Mount San Petrone to the north. The interior decor of San Stefanu parish church is the work of painter Gherardi. Note that Nuvale is an integral part of the Corsican Regional Nature Reserve, and is classified at the ZNIEFF Inventory: 'châtaigneraies - petite Castagniccia' (chestnut groves of Castagniccia).
