This village of Alisgiani's valley , overshadowed by the Punta di l'Orsaja, is consisting of 7 hamlets, and crossed by the «Mare a Mare Nord» hiking trail from Moriani to Cargèse. Perelli would be the birthplace of Petru Giovannu Ficone, also known as Grossu Minutu, a mythical character borni in 1775 to whom many jokes and anecdotes are attributed. Note that Perelli is an integral part of the Corsican Regional Nature Reserve, and is classified at the ZNIEFF Inventory: 'châtaigneraies - petite Castagniccia' (chestnut groves of Castagniccia).
